Farm Configuration

By default, the Farm defaults to a Managed Arboretum on all four sides.
However, you can change this behaviour if you have a Soldering Iron and some Electron Tubes.

Types of Farms

There are two main types of farm: Managed and Manual.

The different types of farms can be set using Circuit Boards and a Soldering Iron. The East and West sections of the farm includes the corner farmlands.

Managed Farms

Managed Farms not only plant and harvest crops, but they will also set the necessary soil for the crops to grow.

By setting your Soldering Iron to Managed Farms, you can have the following:

Manual Farms

Manual Farms, unlike Managed Farms, will not set the soil for the crops to grow or place the initial seeds or saplings, but it will replant and harvest the crops/trees in its operation radius.
Hint: This can be used to your advantage!

By setting your Soldering Iron to Manual Farms, you can have the following:

Farm Orientation

The order of the Electron Tubes on the Circuit Board determines the orientation for each section on the Farm. The orientation is as follows:

Left: Soldering Iron GUI.
Right: Farm GUI.

This orientation is important, because the size of the sections varies with the placing on the farm, especially in farm setups that are not square (for example, a 3×5 setup).
The N, S, W and E represent, respectively, North, South, West and East.

1) Prior to 2.0.0.4, Humus was required instead of dirt
2) , 4) Will not harvest or replant trees.
3) Requires tree which bares fruit, vanilla oak trees are not fruit trees
5) Only available with IC2 installed.
